Reunion Tips
Hiring a Photographer:
When hiring a photographer for your event try and find one that will give you the CD with all your pictures on it. It is cheaper to make your own Memory Book online than to hire a company to do it for you. You will also need to have the photographer sign a release for the pictures in order for you to have them printed. Places like WalMart does a good job of printing the pictures in Matte finish but they will ask to see your release before they give them to you.
We would highly recommend using Blurb.com as a place to publish your Memory Book. They have the necessary software to download (free) onto your own computer and you can design your own book. When you are satisfied with your design you simply upload it to their site and give them the information on how you want it bound and printed. It's very user friendly.
How to Photograph Everyone:
The hardest thing in the Reunion is to get everyone's picture. In order to accomplish this successfully, we found the best way to do this was to place stanchions in the entrance of the room leading everyone, as they entered, directly to the photographer where he snapped their pictures. A good photographer is able to take the pictures quickly and keep the line moving into the event.
Another way to get everyone's picture is to have a throw-away camera on each table. Announce at the beginning of your reunion that you would like everyone to take pictures of their classmates sitting at the table and at the end of the evening to leave the camera on their table.
Last but not least is to ask everyone who takes pictures with their own camera to send them to you through email. You will then have enough pictures to fill your Memory Book......and then some.
